OBJECTIVES for 2018-19 are as follows:
1. Retain existing and increase membership in line with resources
2. Increase financial and organisational stability via:
a. Increased earned income from membership/session fees
b. Increased income from grants/philanthropic sources
c. Recruit of a part-time dedicated post (subject to funding)
d. Investment in people – training for Board; CPD/inspiration for session facilitators
e. Improved governance – training for Board; development and review of key policies/procedures; attract new Board members with time and skills;
f. Improved governance - develop Risk Review and Management Plan
3. Extend the creative offer and provide inspiration for existing members by: providing new art-form experiences/sessions with sessional facilitators with differing skills; bringing in performers/directors/writers etc; by attending professional/other productions together
4. Building up to larger-scale productions with increased resources; delivered more effectively
5. Increase visibility amongst potential members and wider local community through improved communications
6. Increase number of, and management and support of volunteers
7. In the longer term, involve young people in running of Stretford Children’s Theatre: invite relevant alumni to Board; set up existing members’ young people’s advisory group
8. Investigate post-16 provision; and adult provision
9. Investigate summer school provision
